About Coastal Drift Media
In an industry that often looks down on disability, I look across.
I'm Peter Mills — filmmaker, former commercial diver, and founder of Coastal Drift Media. After a decade working in marine operations and defence, a spinal cord injury changed my path but sharpened my perspective.
Now I bring that same discipline, problem-solving, and eye for detail to film production. My wheelchair gives me a camera angle most filmmakers never think about — and a lived understanding of the stories I tell.
Based in Plymouth, I work with charities, disabled-led organisations, and businesses who need authentic, cinematic content — not tokenistic box-ticking. Every production is accessible from brief to delivery, because that's not an add-on, it's the foundation.
